Griffith Hack is thrilled to formally announce the elevation of five high-performing team members effective as of July 1, 2020. Lawyers Juliet Evans and Harriet Young, along with Patent Attorneys John Scicluna and Simon Broner all become Associates. Formerly a Senior Associate within Watermark IP, Emma Mitchell joins the Griffith Hack Law Team’s leadership group with her promotion to the role of Principal.
With respect of the announcement, Executive General Manager David Madigan shared, “these promotions represents a significant career milestone for each individual and reflects the hard work and contribution each of them has made to both Griffith Hack and the IP profession.”
Despite the challenges of the current economic environment, Madigan went on to say that these elevations “also demonstrate the genuine opportunities available at Griffith Hack to those with the skills required to meet our clients’ current and future needs”.
In reflecting on this career highlight, Emma Mitchell shared some of the motivating forces behind her progression.
“When I started out as a lawyer, I spent 4 months in a great IP team as part of my graduate rotation. I was instantly hooked” Emma says.
“I love seeing ideas come to life, and many years later I still get a kick out of seeing my clients’ products and branding out in the wild. I am particularly excited to be appointed a Principal of the new and expanded Griffith Hack at such an exciting time for the business and am looking forward to continuing to work with fantastic clients alongside my talented colleagues.”
This recent development also reinforces Griffith Hack’s standing as a leading specialist IP firm with respect of gender equality in senior leadership positions; over 41% of Principals being female.
