Griffith Hack will have a strong presence at IPBC Australasia 2022 in Melbourne on Tuesday 22 November, with special counsel Edith Hamilton joining the event’s line-up of speakers.
Edith will chair a panel discussion titled The great Australian litigation-scape that will look Australia’s patent litigation landscape and consider whether businesses can take advantage of alternative strategies to deal with problematic patent cases.

About Edith
Edith is a special counsel at Griffith Hack and a registered patent and trade mark attorney. Her technical expertise embraces mechanical engineering, materials science and chemistry, and her experience extends into in the areas of fast moving consumer goods, fibre and textile technology, process engineering, oil and gas, clean technology, and mining technology, including explosives and blasting technology.
She has considerable experience in patent opposition matters – including handling multiple inter-related matters in order to secure freedom-to-operate, while maintaining the client’s own IP position. The sixth annual IPBC Australasia will be held on 22 November 2022 at the Sofitel on Collins, Melbourne.
Structured as a single, market-leading, one-day event, with a central registration, exhibition and networking area, the sessions will be split into two dedicated streams:
- IPBC Australasia – IAM’s patent/ technology-led agenda focused on IP value creation
- Brand Strategy Australasia – WTR’s detailed brand management programme providing dedicated coverage of the latest issues in brand protection, management and value creation.
