Griffith Hack to attend the APAA 20th General Assembly in Singapore

We are pleased to announce that Greg Munt, Gavin Adkins, Jessica Lee, Dr Simone Shu-Yen Lee and Dr Jenny Park will be representing Griffith Hack at the 20th General Assembly of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) from 3 to 7 November 2023 in Singapore.  

APAA 2023 will bring together IP practitioners from across Asia, Australia and New Zealand to network and exchange views and information concerning intellectual property protection in the region.

Our team is looking forward to attending and contributing to sessions throughout the event, and to connecting with colleagues and clients.

Greg Munt

Greg is a registered patent and trade marks attorney based in Melbourne, he is also the current president of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association.

Greg’s practice is focussed on assisting local clients obtaining patents and commercialising their IP in Australia and overseas – in particular in China and throughout Asia.

He has worked with some of Australia’s biggest players in the engineering space, with a specific focus on mining, minerals processing, steelmaking and fabrication, solar, and packaging.

Gavin Adkins

Gavin is a lawyer and registered patent and trade marks attorney based in Melbourne. His practice centres around IP litigation and commercial legal advice building on his previous experience as a prosecuting patent attorney and technical background in chemistry.

Gavin has been published in leading industry journals, written chapters in IP reference texts and is often asked for his insights by leading publications such as IAM Magazine and Managing IP.

Jessica Lee

Jessica is a patent and trade marks attorney based in Sydney, and a member of Asian Patent Attorneys Association Anti Counterfeit Committee.

She has interdisciplinary experience in both research and industry, with a strong background in drafting and prosecuting patents in Australia and in international jurisdictions.

Jessica has experience in the patenting of diverse technologies such as IT, medical devices, photo-voltaic technologies, electrical devices, home appliances, hot water systems, mining and material handling devices, farming apparatuses, and various mechanical devices.

Dr Simone Shu-Yen Lee

Simone is a patent attorney based in Melbourne, and secretary of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association – Australian Group.

She has a strong background in physics and specifically optical physics. She enjoys working on a wide range of technologies from mechanical, electrical and software, and is particularly strong in IT, optics, quantum technologies, medical devices, manufacturing, building and construction, and general mechanical devices.

Simone has acted for a variety of Australian and international clients in protecting their inventions and design registrations since 2013, when she registered as a patent attorney.

Dr Jenny Park

Dr Jenny Park is a patent and trade marks attorney based in Sydney.

Jenny is involved in the drafting, opposition and prosecution of patent applications in the pharmaceutical and chemical fields, including patent applications for medical treatments for humans and animals, and new pharmaceutical compounds and formulations.

She advises clients including both Australian and overseas companies and universities researching and developing innovative products and technologies ranging from cleaning agents to cancer therapies.
