Mitchell Stott is a Patent Attorney in our Engineering and ICT team based in Sydney.
Mitchell has formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) and Science (Astronomy and Astrophysics), with a background in physics, maths, engineering, solar thermal energy and astronomy. He is an experienced scientific communicator and can convey complex scientific principles in laymen terms.
Through his background in astrophysics, Mitchell has a keen interest in space, regularly taking part in observational astronomy with his telescope. He continues to learn by keeping up to date with developments in astrophysics as well as future space exploration and missions.
Mitchell is also heavily involved in the up-and-coming quantum computing revolution, providing intellectual property counsel and helping maintain and expand clients’ patent portfolios.
