Dr Jing Fung Tan is a patent and trade marks attorney based in Melbourne.
Jing’s technical expertise is in chemical engineering and polymer chemistry, with a broad understanding on most aspects of materials engineering and chemical processes for manufacturing technologies.
His current practice includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications, providing infringement and novelty opinions, initiating and defending opposition proceedings and managing multinational IP portfolios.
Jing’s patent practice covers advanced material synthesis including functional nanoparticles and polymeric coatings, medical devices, including stents and catheters, mineral processing and recovery technologies including equipment for processing mineral ores and methods for extracting metal values from ore, and packaging technologies including equipment for forming cartons and methods of forming functional coatings.
